January Events!

Hi beautiful people!

My name is Eva, and I’m the Event Manager for PMSBOX. I wanted to give you a little update on what’s going on over here at PMSBOX this month. For most of December, we were hard at work searching for events we thought would be perfect for PMSBOX to attend, and I am happy to say all that hard work has paid off! That means we are starting off 2019 with some very exciting news!

First, we are happy to announce our very first Pop-up event with YogaWorks on January 17th in Woodland Hills! YogaWorks’ mission is to empower one’s journey toward personal growth and well-being through yoga. We will have a booth outside their Woodland Hills location from 4PM-8PM. Please come by and say hi!

The next event is a BIG one. Last year, more than 500,000 people attended. Yes, I’m talking about the Women’s March “Truth to Power” in Downtown LA on January 19th. PMSBOX will be there marching the street with our “End Period Poverty” and “Women Helping Women” signs and banners and would love for everyone to come and join! Speakers will include mayor Eric Garcetti, transgender actress and LGBT activist Laverne Cox (from Orange is the New Black), and many more! The event starts at 8.30AM and ends at 2PM. Come march with us!

As you can see, we like to keep ourselves busy. So why limit our events to Los Angeles? January 26th-27th CEO Sera Alper and COO Damla Kocak will be flying to New York City to attend Period Con. They will spend the weekend networking, learning, and sharing with the leaders and aspiring activists throughout the menstrual movement. Follow their trip on @pmsboxco on Instagram.

Then, the day after Period Con, we march down to DC with 40 other chosen activists to attend a press conference/rally aimed to end of period poverty in schools. This is part of a collaboration between Period Con and Thinx (the period underwear company) – one that we could not be more excited for. We will be demonstrating at the Department of Education, meeting with legislators on Capitol Hill, and doing lots of press/social media coverage fighting to end period poverty.

The last event of this month is on the same weekend as Period Con, January 26th-27th. We are going to be attending the Nazarian Institute Conference at the Jeremy Hotel in West Hollywood. This event brings together doctors, high-level executives, and business owners for a weekend of workshops and networking. We will be there with our booth excited to learn and meet some talented people!

Phew, what an amazing way to start the year! Stay tuned, because I have a feeling that February is going to be awesome as well.
